More than 50 young teachers, graduate students and students from the Magtymguly Turkmen State University represented the country at the 30th International Scientific Conference "Lomonosov-2023".
According to the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper, the works of TSU representatives were published in a specialized collection. The authors of almost half of them were selected for remote participation in the conference in such sections as “Oriental and African studies. Linguistics - languages of the countries of the Far East and Southeast Asia”; "Vertebrate Zoology", "Language, Culture, Mentality: Teaching in a Multicultural Context"; "Linguodidactics: actual problems of teaching foreign languages at the university" and "Foreign languages and regional studies".
Thus, the report of the teacher of the Department of the Turkmen language Meylismurat Yariyev in the context of one of the sectional meetings was devoted to the importance of the dictionary of Mahmud al-Kashgari in the study of the history of the Turkmen language. Lecturer of the Department of Archeology and Ethnology Bagtiyar Togtaev and graduate student Yazgeldy Charyev in their joint scientific work considered the role of Altyndash in the Seljuk movement in Horasan. The work on the topic “Dynamics of the ichthyofauna of the Turkmen lake “Altyn Asyr” was presented by the teacher of the Department of Zoology Rahim Saparmuradov. “The theory of mastering a second language” was scientifically substantiated by the teacher of the Department of Foreign Languages Jeren Armidova. “Peculiarities of teaching English to pupils of preschool institutions” was revealed in her work by the teacher of the Department of Foreign Languages Guljahan Hezretgullyeva. Aygozel Ovliyakulova, a student of the Faculty of English Language and Literature, presented a scientific analysis on the topic “Differences in the poetic translation of A.S. Pushkin’s poems from Russian into English and Turkmen”.
The conference was organized within the framework of the International Youth Forum of the same name, the chairman of the organizing committee of which is directly the rector of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov Viktor Antonovich Sadovnichiy. The main goal of the conference was to develop the creative activity of its participants, to involve them in solving urgent problems of modern science, to preserve and develop a single international scientific and educational space, to establish contacts between future colleagues.
The work of the conference was organized in 40 sectional areas, reflecting all the main vectors of modern fundamental and applied science. Examination and competitive selection of submitted applications were carried out by expert councils of sections headed by leading scientists of Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Russian Academy of Sciences.
