Qatar now processes all visas through the Hayya website, which was previously used to register fans for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

To apply for a visa to Qatar, the Hayya website will need to upload documents and pay a fee, according to the Gulf Times.

Travelers will have access to three new types of e-visa – A1, A2 and A3. The first category includes nationals of countries that do not have the right to obtain a visa on arrival or who are not allowed to enter Qatar without a visa. The second category is for residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The third category is for citizens with a visa or residence permit in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Schengen countries.

Visa processing through this platform takes up to 48 hours.

Citizens of Turkmenistan need a visa to visit Qatar. Now tourists from Turkmenistan fly to Qatar with a connection at the airports of Turkey or the United Arab Emirates.
