The seaport of Turkmenbashy (Turkmenistan) will be included in the itinerary of a sea cruise on the Russian motor ship Peter the Great, the Association of Tour Operators reports.
The first cruises planned for the new ship will take place in the Caspian Sea. Tourists will be able to visit Russia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Iran. Also, in the future, the liner will combine in its routes the ports of the Caspian Sea with the ports of the Azov, Black and Baltic Seas. Svetlana Goncharova, Development Director of the cruise company Mosturflot, told ATOR about this. It is to this company that the ship will be transferred in 2023.
The construction of the four-deck cruise liner "Peter the Great" of the PV300VD project began in August 2016. The exit of "Peter the Great" to the Caspian Sea is planned at the end of August this year. Now the ship is almost ready and is undergoing a fine finish. Most of the cabins have been finished, there are 155 of them on the liner. Astrakhan (RF) will become the base port for the ship.
Now Mosturflot has developed four routes lasting from 9 to 20 days: three of them are circular along the Caspian Sea from Astrakhan, another one is from Istanbul to Astrakhan through the Black, Azov, Caspian Seas, Don and Volga.
A sea voyage on a ship can last from 9 to 20 days:
- Astrakhan (RF) - Makhachkala (RF) - Baku (Azerbaijan) - Turkmenbashy (Turkmenistan) - Astrakhan (RF): the cruise will be designed for 9 days / 8 nights
- Astrakhan (RF) - Makhachkala (RF) - Baku (Azerbaijan) - Aktau (Kazakhstan) - Turkmenbashy (Turkmenistan) - Astrakhan (RF): for 9 days / 8 nights
- Astrakhan (RF) - Makhachkala (RF) - Baku (Azerbaijan) - Nowshahr (Iran) - Turkmenbashy (Turkmenistan) - Aktau (Kazakhstan) - Astrakhan (RF): for 12 days / 11 nights
- Istanbul (Turkey) - Batumi (Georgia) - Sochi (RF) - Novorossiysk (RF) - Taganrog (RF) - Rostov-on-Don (RF) - Volgograd (RF) - Astrakhan (RF) - Makhachkala (RF) - Baku (Azerbaijan) - Turkmenbashy (Turkmenistan) - Aktau (Kazakhstan) - Astrakhan (RF): for 20 days / 19 nights.
