On April 12, in Ashgabat, on the territory of the Russian Embassy, flowers will be laid at the bust of Gagarin in honor of Cosmonautics Day and the International Day of the first manned space flight. This was reported by the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Turkmenistan on the pages of the social network.
“At 11-30, on the territory of the Department of Education, Science and Culture of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan (Ashgabat, Saparmurat Turkmenbashi avenue, 11, entrance from the 1st park), flowers will be laid to the bust of A.Yu. Gagarin”, - the statement said.

Let us remind that the monument to Yuri Gagarin in Ashgabat was opened in April 2021 on the territory of the Department of Education, Science and Culture of the Embassy of the Russian Federation. A bronze bust similar to the one that was solemnly opened in Ashgabat has been installed in almost fifty cities of the world.
International Day of Aviation and Cosmonautics is celebrated on April 12. The date became a holiday in connection with the successful flight into space on April 12, 1961, the world's first cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union Yuri Gagarin.
