Tottenham striker Son Heung-min has become the first Asian footballer to score 100 goals in the English Premier League, according to the AFC official website.

The 30-year-old Korean scored on April 8 in the match of the 30th round of the Premier League against Brighton (2:1). This goal was the 100th in the league for the footballer. To reach the milestone of 100 goals in the Premier League, the striker needed to play 260 matches.

This season, Son Heung-min has played 28 matches for the Londoners, scoring seven goals and becoming the author of four assists. Tottenham are 5th in the Premier League.

Son Heung Min has been playing for Tottenham Hotspur since 2015, when he moved from Bayer for € 30 million. The player's contract with the London club runs until June 2025. According to Transfermarkt, the player has a market value of €60 million.

Son Heung-min has been named Asia's Footballer of the Year 2022.
