FIFA has deprived Peru of the right to host the youth (under 17) World Cup in 2023, the press service of the organization reports.
“This decision was made due to the inability of the host country to fulfill its obligations to create the infrastructure necessary to host the tournament,” FIFA said in a statement.
The tournament was to be held in Peru from November 10 to December 2, 2023.
The new tournament organizer will be announced later. Tournament dates remain unchanged for the time being.
