1. On April 6 will be held the first session of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the seventh convocation. “The elected deputies of the national parliament should take up their duties as soon as possible”, - Serdar Berdimuhamedov said last Friday at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. Highlighting the great importance of the election results, the head of state stated that the creation of a legal framework for civil society made it possible to hold them on a broad competitive basis. It can be said about the new parliament of Turkmenistan that it has become much younger. About 41 percent of the elected deputies are young people under the age of 40. We also note that about 26 percent of the elected deputies of the Mejlis are women.
2. From April 4 to 6 in Ashgabat, in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an exhibition of the Trade Complex of Turkmenistan will be open. The organizing committee of the exhibition invites interested specialists from the sectoral ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, businessmen and citizens of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of foreign companies to visit the exhibition. 3. Tickets for passenger buses from Ashgabat to Hazar went on sale online on the official website of the “Turkmenawtoulaglary” Agency. The new route connects the international bus station of Ashgabat and the Hazar settlement of the Balkan velayat. The cost of each ticket is 60 manats. Payment is made using “Altyn asyr” bank cards.
4. From July 2023, the newspaper “Arkadag” will be published in Turkmenistan. The corresponding Resolution was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The new newspaper will be published in Turkmen once a week.
5. The governor of the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation Igor Babushkin visited the school named after Magtymguly Fragi in the village of Funtovo, Privolzhsky district. 6. Kazakhstan hosted a meeting of the Interstate Commission of the CIS member states for cooperation with the World Health Organization. The agenda of the event included such topics as the organization of primary health care, the exchange of information between relevant departments, and the deepening of cooperation with international organizations. Representatives of Kazakhstan shared their experience of international cooperation at the meeting.
