1. A new TV channel “Arkadag” will appear in the structure of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan, which will start broadcasting from September 2023. The resolution on its creation was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

2. In Turkmenistan, changes were made to the “Procedure for conducting qualification exams for obtaining the right to drive vehicles and issuing driver's licenses”. The following addition has been made to part 16: a driver's license may be issued to an authorized representative of the person who has passed the exam, on the basis of a power of attorney. 3. A new park and 23 modern nine-story houses with landscaping of the surrounding area, utilities and roads will be built in the Parahat-7 microdistrict in Ashgabat. The relevant Decree was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, allowing the city administration of Ashgabat to conclude additional agreements to design and construction contracts.

4. The Turkmen delegation will take part in the first meeting of the Turkmen-Tajik Business Council in Dushanbe, which will be held on April 8-9. On these dates Dushanbe will also host a business forum of entrepreneurs of the two countries. An extensive delegation of 100 people will arrive from Turkmenistan for these events. Within the framework of the meeting of the Business Council, the prospects for cooperation between the two countries will be discussed, in addition, an exhibition of export goods of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan is planned.

5. Russians living abroad can now receive pensions and other payments in rubles to bank accounts opened in Russia or abroad. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

6. Today, more than 12 thousand Turkmen students are studying in Türkiye. This was announced by the head of the Office for Compatriots Abroad and Kindred Communities Sayit Yusuf. “We want to take cooperation in the field of education with Turkmenistan to a much higher level, reach a large number of successful Turkmen youth and include them in our system, as well as provide scholarships for education in Türkiye,” said Sayit Yusuf.

7. From June 2023, the Pyramid of Cheops at Giza will be closed for restoration. The work will be carried out inside the pyramid, so the entrance to it will be closed to tourists. During the restoration period, the Pyramid of Menkaure will be opened for travelers. The Pyramid of Cheops is the largest of the Egyptian pyramids, a monument of the architectural art of Ancient Egypt. The only one of the “Seven Wonders of the World” that has survived to this day.

8. The Russian film distributor “Central Partnership” plans to launch a domestic analogue of the IMAX cinema format called “Cosmax”. The novelty is currently being patented. The first film to be shown in the “Cosmax” format will be Klim Shipenko's “The Challenge”. The filming of this film was partially conducted in space, on the “Soyuz MS-19” international space station.

9. The Belarusian Federation of Pankration and Mixed Martial Arts held the national championship in pankration. Abdylla Tayhanov from Turkmenistan took part in the competition. He was the strongest in the weight category up to 66 kg. Tayhanov receives higher education at the Belarusian State University.

10. The Turkmen weightlifter won bronze in the snatch at the World Youth Championships in Albania. Gulalek Kakamyradova achieved this success in the weight category up to 64 kg. The team of Turkmenistan at the youth world championship in Albania under the leadership of Gurbandurdy Amanov and Ahmed Sariyev is represented by 9 weightlifters. After five days of competition, the national team of Turkmenistan with 10 medals takes 2nd place in the team standings, second only to the team of the Philippines.

11. The national team of Turkmenistan beat the Emirates club “United” on Wednesday in a friendly match at a training camp in Sharjah. The meeting ended with the victory of the Turkmen team with a score of 3:1. FC “United” plays in the second division of the UAE.
