On Wednesday, the delegates of the international conference dedicated to the main directions and opportunities for the development of tourism, which was held these days in Ashgabat, visited the “Avaza” NTZ.
From the passenger ship “Rovach” they admired the beauty of the Caspian Sea. This was followed by familiarization with the conditions created in the coastal tourist area, reports the turkmenistaninfo.gov.tm publication.
The delegate of the conference, Deputy General Director of JSC “Moscow River Shipping Company” Roman Pashayev, noted that this year the construction of a 310-seat passenger ship “Peter I” is underway, on which cruise tourism is planned to be organized in Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in the future.
Director of the Uzbek company Doca Tours Discover oriental Central Asia Oybek Ostanov also stressed that “Avaza” has great tourism potential, and Uzbekistan, having no access to the sea, is interested in cooperation.
“We want to cooperate with our Turkmen partners so that more tourists can visit Turkmenistan”, - he said.
In the afternoon, at the “Berkarar” hotel, the international conference on tourism development was solemnly declared closed.
