The leadership of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and the Regional Coordinator of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for Central Asia Zeynal Hajiyev held a meeting on further development of cooperation.
As reported on the website of the migration service, the parties discussed the joint activities currently being implemented. The IOM regional coordinator expressed interest in further development of fruitful cooperation with Turkmenistan.
Mutual readiness was also expressed to actively continue cooperation on all initiatives and programs related to ensuring security, peace and sustainable development.
Turkmenistan, being a member of the International Organization for Migration, has been involved in the fight against human trafficking, the prevention of various threats and other important regional initiatives for many years.
In conclusion, the parties confirmed their readiness to carry out relevant activities aimed at further developing effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and the International Organization for Migration.
