Turkmenistan sends more than 7 tons of humanitarian cargo to Turkey

Another batch of humanitarian aid to victims of the earthquake in Turkey was sent from Ashgabat this week.

The National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan sent a 7-ton truck with humanitarian aid, consisting of blankets, winter clothes for adults and children, shoes and personal hygiene items.

More than 700 boxes with children's and adult tracksuits, jeans and towels will also be delivered by trucks along the route Turkmenistan-Iran-Turkey (Gaziantep), the National CPT Society said in a statement.

We remind that, on February 6, a series of earthquakes occurred in southeastern Turkey and northern Syria with an epicenter near the Turkish province of Gaziantep. The strongest was a shock of magnitude 7.8, the second strongest was a shock of 7.6 points in the province of Kahramanmarash. In total, the earthquake affected 10 regions of the country. The number of victims of earthquakes in Turkey exceeded 45 thousand people.
