The next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS states will be held in June 2022 in Sochi (RF). This was announced today by CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev at a regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Commonwealth Member States to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS in Minsk.
“The meeting of the Council of Heads of Government will tentatively take place on June 7-8 in Sochi at the suggestion of the Russian side. There will be a whole range of economic events. These events will last from June 7 to 9 in Sochi,” the BelTA news agency quotes Sergey Lebedev.
According to the Secretary General, the agenda of the meeting of the CIS CGP meeting is full.
“We propose to introduce 15 questions. The main issue, in our opinion, will be an agreement on free trade in services, which we have been working on for more than 10 years. These days are the final approval of the provisions of the document. We very much hope that the heads of government will sign an agreement on free trade in services,” Sergey Lebedev said.
The heads of government will also exchange views on topical issues of economic cooperation.
The previous meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government was held in October 2022 in Astana.
