1. Issues of expanding bilateral cooperation were discussed during the meeting of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Affairs of the Office of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who arrived in Ashgabat on a short visit. During the meeting, the UAE Deputy Prime Minister attached great importance to the development of interstate relations with Turkmenistan, including the strengthening of trade and economic cooperation.
2. Representatives of the "Turkmendemiryollary" Agency and the Afghan Railway Administration agreed to increase the volume of traffic on the Serhetabat-Turgundi railway line. The railway between Serhetabat and the Afghan city of Turgundi was built in 1982, its length is 5,5 km. By 2019, Turkmenistan carried out a complete modernization of this branch, significantly increasing its capacity.
