February 17 is the Day of random acts of kindness. This is a day of good deeds that do not need to be planned in advance, but simply performed, obeying the inner need to do good at this very moment and not expect benefits in return.
On the Day of spontaneous kindness, you can:
- feed a street animal or buy a package of food for an animal shelter;
- pay part or all of the purchase amount to an elderly pensioner;
- call an elderly lonely relative and just talk to him;
- skip ahead of the buyer with one or two purchases;
- bring something tasty to work and treat colleagues;
- if you are driving, you can give a ride to a stranger for free (if you are on the way);
- also, if you are driving and it is raining outside, try to drive so as not to splash passers-by from a puddle;
- to give someone a compliment - it's easy for you, and the person will rejoice.
All these actions do not require large emotional or financial costs, but they can cheer up both you and those to whom your spontaneous kindness will be directed.
