A solemn rally in honor of the 58th “Star Trek” has started in Minsk in the places of military and labor glory of the Belarusian people, informs “BelTA”.
The event is attended by over 200 students and teachers of Belarusian universities, including children from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Russia. The program includes meetings with veterans, laying flowers at mass graves.
“Star Treks” have been organized at BSPU since 1966. This is a kind of marathon of preserving the historical memory of the immortal feat of the peoples of the Soviet Union and the Great Victory. Meeting with veterans - living participants of that terrible war, who, unfortunately, are becoming less and less every year, we once again confirm that no one is forgotten and nothing is forgotten”, said the rector of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank Alexander Zhuk.
He also added that students from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will once again be able to make sure that the Belarusian people sacredly and carefully keep the memory of those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our countries.
