Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin arrived on a working visit to Turkmenistan, reports TASS.
Mikhail Mishustin is visiting Turkmenistan for the first time as Prime Minister of Russia. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers will begin the work program with a visit to the Joint Turkmen-Russian comprehensive school named after A. S. Pushkin in Ashgabat.
In Ashgabat, the Prime Minister of Russia will hold talks with the President, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The parties will discuss topical issues of the development of Russian-Turkmen cooperation. Particular attention will be paid to deepening cooperation in trade, economic, transport, industrial, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Mikhail Mishustin will also speak at the plenary session of the Turkmen-Russian business forum to be held in Ashgabat. The forum will host a joint meeting of business councils. Panel sessions will be devoted to the topics of Turkmen-Russian cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, education, industry, digital agenda and other areas of dialogue between companies of the two countries. Also, during the forum in Ashgabat, it is planned to open a trade and exhibition site from Russian manufacturers – “Trading house of Russia” and sign bilateral documents.
The forum is aimed at deepening trade, economic and industrial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia.
Mikhail Mishustin was appointed Prime Minister of the Russian Federation on January 16, 2020 by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
