The national team of Turkmenistan today arrived in Kazan, where it will take part in the first hockey tournament among the teams of Islamic countries and the Republic of Tatarstan.
The team was warmly welcomed by the organizers of the tournament at the Kazan airport to folk Tatar music.
Let us remind that hockey players from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Oman, Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan will play in the men's standings, players from Algeria, Morocco and Lebanon will perform as part of the combined team. Tatarstan will be represented by the “Ak Bars” national team and a team of republican hockey veterans.
The opening match will be held on January 14 at the Sports Palace at 13:00, before the game, performers Elmira Kalimullina, Marat Yarullin and the “Kazan Nura” folk instruments orchestra will perform in the arena bowl.
