A solid package of documents between Turkmen leading state concerns and Japanese companies in such areas as the chemical industry, gas industry, transport, water management has replenished legal base of Turkmenistan and Japan. They were signed within the frame of the 14th joint meeting of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee for Economic Cooperation held in Tokyo today, the press-service of the MFA of Turkmenistan reports.
The Turkmen delegation at the talks was headed by Vice Premier, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov.
During the meeting, it was noted that for the recent several years, with the participation of Japanese companies in Turkmenistan have been executed and commissioned large facilities in the fields of gas chemistry and electric power industry.
The sides exchanged opinions on manifold issues of trade and economic interaction. It was stressed that the successful development of joint cooperation in such directions as transport, electric power, industry, water management, finance and ecology.
Special attention at the talks was paid to the expansion of partnership in education and healthcare.
Following the result of the joint meeting, a Protocol was signed.
