An action on destruction of drugs and psychotropic substances seized during a series of special operations by the law enforcement and military agencies of Turkmenistan was held today on the territory of Geokdepe etrap.
The event was attended by heads of Mejlis and Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh, members of the government, State Security Council, representatives of the public organizations, health care system, mass media as well as honorary elders.
The participants were shown the seized narcotic substances, contraband tobacco and pharmaceutical products, after which the packed bags were sent one by one to the furnaces of special furnaces. Moreover, anyone could take part in this noble cause by personally throwing a bundle of contraband goods into the red-hot mouth of the furnace. According to the established rules, the entire burning process was controlled from beginning to end by law enforcement officers and authorized experts.
The participants of the event were shown dogs kept in the Service Dog Breeding Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Alabai, who are assistants in the fight against drug trafficking, have a special sensitivity. They show high service qualities in training sessions both on the detention of criminals and the search for explosives and drugs.
