The head coach of “Manchester United” Josep Guardiola has extended his contract with the club for another two years, the Guardian reports.
Thus, his contract is valid until the summer of 2025. Until the new contract the salary of Josep Guardiola has become larger, he used to receive 20 million pounds a year.
Guardiola took charge of Manchester City in 2016 and won 11 trophies with the club: four English championships, the FA Cup, four English League Cups and two English Super Cups. Also, the Spanish specialist took the “citizens” to the final of the Champions League — 2020/2021, where the club lost to Chelsea (0:1).
Now the citizens, after 14 rounds of the English Premier League, scored 32 points in the tournament and occupy second place in the standings, five points behind Arsenal.
