A lot of work to strengthen partnership relations in fuel and energy complex has been done in Turkmenistan

At the end of October, Ashgabat hosted the 27th International conference “Oil and gas of Turkmenistan – 2022”. This event drew attention of more than 500 delegates from 45 countries. The conference united the heads and leading specialists of the Ministries and agencies of the country, foreign and national companies, international structures and financial institutions, research centers and specialized universities, diplomatic missions and the mass media.

The Chief Editor of the electronic newspaper “Oil and gas” Ussa Usachev on the pages of the Central Asia.news edition told about the key points and the results of the forum.

As per the words of the observer, one of the main topics of the forum were the tendencies in the development of the world’s oil and gas market, the integration of the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan into the international energy system, the transfer to renewable sources of energy and hydrogen technologies.

“A number of heads of foreign companies spoke at the conference, which supported the strivings of Turkmenistan to diversify its routes of hydrocarbon renewables. They stressed that the members of the world’s community extremely interested in supply of natural gas, which is enough in Turkmenistan to meet the growing demand for energy”, the message reads.

Ussayev made a special accent on the speech of the Turkmen side, which informed the members on the TAPI gas pipeline construction progress.

“The implementation of this project allow to achieve energy safety in the region, reduce emissions of hydrocarbons, help to achieve aims of the Paris Agreement, also to provide Afghanistan, Pakistan and India with reliable and cheap “blue fuel”, the expert stressed.

It was also noted that on the sidelines of OGT-2022 Forum a new agreements between Turkmen and foreign partners were signed. In particular, the SC “Turkmengas” has concluded agreement s for supply of products with the “Pipe Metallurgical Company” (PMC) from Russia and the company Auguste International Fze from the UAE.

The State Concern “Turkmenneft” has signed an agreement with the Chinese company Shandong kerui petroleum for the supply of products, and with Dragon Oil - a cooperation agreement in conducting seismic works 3D on Block 19 in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.

Besides, the representatives of the State Concern “Turkmenneft” concluded a contract with the enterprise Hybrid Innovation GmbH from Germany for the delivery of technological equipment for the amount more than 6 million euro.

In conclusion, Ussa Usachev stressed that the conference has become an excellent platform for strengthening of existing partnership and creating new business opportunities, extension of professional contacts and establishing ties across the entire spectrum of Fuel and Energy Complex –from financing and science to production and consumption.
