Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al-Hayy Hamad Khamis Al-Hameli yesterday sent letters of gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
The letters on behalf of the UAE Government expressed deep gratitude “for the noble cooperation and humane support provided by the authorities of Turkmenistan in connection with the forced stop of a number of UAE airline flights at Ashgabat International Airport on June 13, 2025,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
"The hospitable reception of passengers of the said flights and providing them with everything they needed - food and water - during several hours of waiting made a deep impression on us. This became a vivid testimony to the noble humanitarian values inherent in the Government and people of Turkmenistan...", - the messages say.
It was also noted that this noble act reflects the depth of fraternal relations between the two states, as well as the true spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance, the source notes.
