In Moscow the Head of Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh will stay for three days. Important meetings are scheduled for this time. Today Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left an entry in the book of honorary guests in the Federation Council. And I visited with Valentina Matvienko a photo exhibition dedicated to the Turkmen-Russian cooperation.
“Surely, you were very much expected as a dear guest of the high, as a friend of Russia”, said Valentina Matvienko, while greeting the Turkmen colleague.
– We met in May of this year in Turkmenistan. We talked within the framework of the Interparliamentary Forum of Russia and Central Asia in the new Ashgabat format, as we name it now. It was your initiative, your proposal, which we eagerly supported. In fact, you have created a new international parliamentary format”.
The program of the Head of Halk Maslahaty is rich. Tomorrow Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will make a speech at the 532nd meeting of the Federation Council, hold a round table with the participation of Russian senators. He also has a number of negotiations planned.
Earlier, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin was informed about the upcoming visit of Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh to Moscow by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Samarkand.
