We remind that in 2021, “Demiryollary” company purchased one freight diesel locomotive, which has proven himself well in operation. Representatives of the Turkmen Railway company noted the quality and reliability of Russian equipment, as well as showed interest in new developments of “Transmashholding” and expressed their intention to continue cooperation with Bryansk Machine-Building Plant for the renewal and expansion of the locomotive fleet.
The 2TE25KM diesel locomotive is the first diesel locomotive in Russia to be 90% assembled from Russian—made components, it is considered an import substitution product. Technical characteristics allow 2TE25KM to drive a train weighing up to 6.4 thousand tons. The use of diesel locomotives of this series makes it possible to increase the average weight of trains and increase freight volumes while reducing operating costs. Special attention is paid to ensuring the safety and comfortable working conditions of the locomotive crew.
Diesel locomotives of this series are widely used on the railways of Russia and Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Machines of this series have been manufactured at BMZ since 2014 and have managed to prove themselves well in different climatic zones.
