In Great Britain, after the accession to the throne of Charles III, a new royal cypher was introduced. The modified monogram consists of the image of the Tudor crown, the initials of the name and title of the new monarch with the Roman numeral III, which are decorated in gold color, reports rg.ru.

The new national cypher was chosen by King Charles III from ten options proposed by the heraldic chamber of Great Britain. From now on, the monogram will be used in official documents, on mailboxes and government buildings, on military and police uniforms.

It is noted that the replacement of the old royal cyphers will be carried out gradually. Also, over time, all coins and banknotes that depict Queen Elizabeth II, who was the first British monarch depicted on banknotes of the Bank of England, will be replaced.
