An exhibition of industrial goods of Iran will be held in the Turkmen capital. The event will be held on December 4-6. This was reported by IRIB news with reference to the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari.
According to the Iranian diplomat, the exhibition was initiated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during his recent trip to Tehran. The Turkmen leader proposed to the head of the Iranian state, Ebrahim Raisi, to organize an exposition in Ashgabat in order to develop trade relations between the two countries.
Safari also noted that he discussed holding the exhibition with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, during his visit to Ashgabat. The Iranian diplomat said that a meeting of the Turkmen-Iranian intergovernmental commission would be held simultaneously with the exhibition.
Let us remind that at the end of August, the “Gaudan-Bajigiran” joint border market, operating on the border of Turkmenistan and Iran, resumed its work.
