Today was held a meeting between the Vice-Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Baghdad Amreyev.
As per the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties have discussed further development of the cooperation in various fields, particularly in the issues of security. Specific attention was paid to the interaction within the framework of OTS in the sphere of transport and energy. Baghdad Amreyev reported about the agenda and the status of preparation for the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which is scheduled to be held in Samarkand in November this year.
The Turkmen side noted that it is interested in partnership with Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States, the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Foundation of Turkic Culture and Heritage.
