At the VDNH in Moscow an exhibition show of the Horses of Ahalteke breed “The Cup of Russia – 2022” will be held

As part of the “Month on Horse” Festival, the All-Russian exhibition and show of horses of the purebred Ahalteke breed "Cup of Russia-2022" will be held on September 17 at the Center of National Equestrian Traditions at VDNH in Moscow. This is reported by the official website of VDNH.

The Ahalteke breed is one of the most ancient and beautiful breeds of riding horses in the world. Scientists believe that it was bred on the territory of modern Turkmenistan about 5 thousand years ago and influenced many of the world's famous riding breeds.

The best breeders and horse farms from all over Russia will present their horses at the Center of National Equestrian Traditions at VDNH. The guests of the Festival will have the opportunity to see all the diversity of one breed of Ahalteke.

The Center of National Equestrian Traditions is the unique place where equestrian, education, culture, horse breeding and tourism are combined in harmony. In May 2022 this Centre for the first time opened its doors to guests.

Over all this time at the historical show ring conducted Vi Open Moscow Festival of equestrian arts and sports, the Cup of Russia on off horse-riding skills, BitRiver Cup of riding competition, Tentpetting and driving competitions, The Days of the Orlovsky Trotter and other events.

The buildings of the Horse Breeding pavilion at VDNH appeared in 1954 to demonstrate horses of all possible breeds – riding, trotting and heavy-duty. In 2015, the Moscow Government merged with the Kremlin Riding School and launched the project "Center of National Equestrian Traditions"

Besides, “Month on Horse” Festival guests could visit the pavilions of The Center of National Equestrian Traditions: to find out the history of horse breeding, the device of a modern stable and the rules of keeping a horse. Also, could get acquainted with dozens of horses and ponies’ breeds. The exhibitions which are held by the Centre are unique and combines history and modernity, preserving culture heritage of Russia and demonstrating national equestrian traditions.
