Weightlifter Rustamova became a Vice-Champion of Asia among youth and juniors

Six medals won a Turkmen weightlifter Anamjan Rustamova at the conducted in Tashkent Championship among youth (under 17 years) and juniors (under 20 years).

In the competition among girls (under 17 years) the weight category up to 81 kg, where four athletes fought for awards in this weight, she won three silver medals - in the snatch (88 kg), clean and jerk (113 kg) and the combined event (201 kg). In the tournament among juniors (under 20), where only three athletes already competed for medals, Ahamjan, with her results, took 3rd place in the snatch and won two silver medals - in the snatch (113 kg) and combined event (201 kg).

The Asian Championship among youth (under 17 years) and juniors (under 20 years) is conducted in the sports complex “Yunusabad” in Tashkent.

261 athletes from 21 states compete for championship awards in two age categories at once.

Let’s remind that earlier Turkmen athletes at this Championship won 14 medals. Gold awards in the Turkmenistan team in the younger age group (under 17 years) Medine Amanova, a student of the 10th grade of Ashgabat secondary School No.104 (weight category up to 64 kg) and Saparly Muhyev, a student of the 11th grade of Ashgabat Secondary School No. 20 (under 89 kg), were awarded.

The Asian Weightlifting Championship among youths and juniors in Tashkent will end on July 25.
