The Japanese company West Japan Railway Company has introduced a unique humanoid robot, designed to perform complex tasks. The concept of universal railway smart technology is equipped with a torso with two movable arms with grips and a head, in which cameras are built. The robot is controlled remotely by an operator using a virtual reality helmet. The robot repeats the movements of the human head, allowing him to see everything that happens. As w3bsit3-dns.com notes, special controllers permit not only to control mechanized arms with high accuracy, but even determine the weight of objects with which the robot interacts.
The developers of the humanoid robot also note, that the machine is not afraid of electrical voltage, while the person in the cab is completely safe. Thus, the introduction of this technology will reduce the likelihood of accidents, and also increase productivity in the target industry. It is noted, that robots will go on sale in the spring of 2024.
