Turkmenistan and WHO discussed development and implementation of SARS-CoV-2 curricula

A round table on the development of curricula on the new coronavirus infection (SARS-CoV-2) was held by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan jointly with the Country Office of the World Health Organization.

According to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the introduction of updated WHO recommendations on prevention, diagnosis, treatment of COVID-19 and immunization of the population of Turkmenistan against COVID-19 into the pre-graduate and post-graduate curricula was discussed at the meeting.

It is expected that the curriculum will be implemented from the new academic year.

The meeting was organized as part of the project on Turkmenistan COVID-19 Response funded by the World Bank and coordinated by the UNDP.

The event was attended by the representatives of medical institutions, specialists of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service involved in the coordination and control of COVID-19, as well as the Faculty of the Turkmen State University named after Myrat Garryev, the source notes.
