The UK will continue to actively and fruitfully cooperate with Turkmenistan. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Boris Johnson in a letter addressed to the President of Turkmenistan.
"I received the news of your election to the post of President of Turkmenistan with great interest. I express confidence that in the coming years we will continue active and fruitful cooperation between our countries," Johnson said in a message published in the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan today.
According to him, he is very pleased that in the year when the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries is celebrated, Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon - Minister at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of Great Britain, other officials held an effective bilateral dialogue, discussing potential areas for further partnership.
"Our cooperation on the transition of your country to "green" energy sources is also very promising. I am confident that joint efforts in addressing climate change issues will allow us to identify new directions that will give impetus to mutual trade relations," Johnson noted.
