The English “Liverpool” won a confident victory over the Portuguese “Benfica” in the first match of the Champions League 1/4 finals. The meeting in Lisbon ended with the score 3:1 in favor of the guests.
Jurgen Klopp’s wards opened the scoring twice in the first half – Ibrahim Konate scored (17th minute) and Sadio Mane (34).
The Portuguese in the second half of the meeting answered with a Darwin Nunez goal in the 49th minute, but a Luis Diaz ball in the 87th gave “Liverpool” a comfortable lead before the return game in Agnia on April 13.
