Two meetings with candidates for President of Turkmenistan for the upcoming March 12 elections were held today in Balkan velayat, in the cultural and sports center of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, the information program “Vatan” of Turkmen television reported.
Berdymammet Gurbanov, the chief physician of the “Avaza” sanatorium of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of the country, deputy of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan nominated as a candidate for the highest state post from the initiative group of citizens of Balkan velayat was the first who met with the electorate.
The meeting was opened by the chairman of the Council of the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization of Turkmenbashi etrap A.Nazarov. He gave the floor to the candidate's agent - Chairman of Balkan velayat Council of the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization G.Chendirov, who familiarized the audience with Gurbanov's biography in detail, describing his business and professional qualities. Having told the participants of the meeting about the candidate's career path, he emphasized that B.Gurbanov showed himself in all areas of work entrusted to him with organizational talent and high professionalism.
The candidate for the post of President of the country told voters in detail about the main points of his election program.
During the interested communication, Berdymammet Gurbanov answered the questions of those present. The participants focused on topical issues of public life, aspects of the implementation of decisions taken on February 11 at the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh, as well as topics related to education, health, sports, culture, tourism, further development of the National Tourist Zone “Avaza” and education of the younger generation.
In the afternoon, there was also a meeting of voters with another candidate for President of Turkmenistan – Chairman of the Committee of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan of the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi etrap of Dashoguz velayat Maksat Odeshov, nominated by an initiative group of citizens of the northern region of the country.
Chairman of the Committee of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan of the Turkmenbashi etrap of Balkan velayat T.Gurbanov gave the floor to the candidate's agent - chairman of the union of trade unions of the etrap named after Gurbansoltan eje of Dashoguz velayat A.Amangeldiev, who familiarized the audience with the work biography of the applicant for the highest state post, describing him as an initiative, competent leader, principled and faithful person enjoying authority and respect among the population.
Then, presenting his election program to the voters, Maksat Odeshov said that he would put the interests of the people at the forefront. Among the priorities of his activities, if elected President of the country, he called the further improvement of the welfare of all segments of the population, the development of science and education, the education of young people in the spirit of patriotism.
Maksat Odeshov assured the voters that he would make every effort to bring into life all the planned plans.
The citizens who spoke at the meetings expressed their instructions and wishes to the candidates.
