The transshipment of carbamide from Turkmenistan was organized for the first time at the Kutum Station of the Astrakhan Region of the Volga Railway.

The volume of the first batch was about 2 thousand tons, the official website of the Government of the Astrakhan Region reports.

Previously, employees of the Russian Railways Holding developed a special scheme for transporting fertilizers from Turkmenistan. In accordance with it, the cargo is delivered across the Caspian Sea to the port berth located on the bank of the Volga River. After transshipment from water to road transport, urea is transported to the Kutum Station, where it is loaded into hoppers for mineral fertilizers. Then the cargo is shipped by rail to the address of the consignee.

In the process of transshipment, the MVA-450-01 "Liliani" car loader and the MTZ 82.1 "Belarus" tractor are used.

In the future, the volume of transshipment of mineral fertilizers at the Kutum Station is planned to increase to 30 thousand tons per month.

To recap, carbamide of the "B" brand is traded on the Turkmen Stock Exchange, produced at the plants "Garabogazkarbamide", "Marykarbamide" and "Tejenkarbamide". Carbamide is exported from Turkmenistan to such countries as Russia, Great Britain, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Kazakhstan.
