An eight-year-old Dillon Helbig, from Boys, Idaho, wrote a Christmas adventure story that instantly caught the attention of readers.

It took the second grader four days to create “Dillon Helbig's Christmas Adventures” with pencil drawings. The young writer recounted his adventures at the first ever Thanksgiving and at the North Pole, where he was catapulted by the explosion of a star on a Christmas tree.

The boy wanted to share his work, and for this, Dillon and his grandmother went to the local library, where they secretly put the 81-page book on the shelf with other publications. When, a few days later, the boy came to check the book, he did not find it on the shelf. As it turned out, the library was so fascinated by the story that they decided to include it in the book catalogue.

With 55 people currently in line for “Dillon's Christmas Adventures”, the library plans to create a digital copy and several more. And the original is on a par with graphic novels for children and teenagers, according to daily.afisha.ru.
