The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX called on McDonald's Corp to start accepting Dogecoin as a payment method. Elon Musk tweeted that he would eat Happy Meal on TV if the network accepted the coin.

With his statement, Musk stimulated the strengthening of the cryptocurrency by 8%. Created in 2013 in honor of the Shiba Inu dog, Dogecoin is one of the ten largest cryptocurrencies by capitalization, according to CoinMarketCap. Over the last 12 months, its value has increased by almost 1600%, and since the beginning of this year it has decreased by 18%.
Last week, Billy Marcus, the co-founder of Dogecoin, responded to a McDonald's tweet with a picture of french fries, saying he wanted it too. Then, the account of the world famous fast food chain responded to Markus' tweet with an image of the company's mascot eating french fries.
As a result, these two tweets caused a big wave of excitement around the "dog" coin, as everyone began to discuss the possibility of implementing Elon Musk's wishes, and asking McDonald's to implement Dogecoin themselves.
