Turkmen diplomats in India held an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, which was attended by the heads of diplomatic missions of the countries of Central Asia, Belarus and Iran, officials of the Indian Foreign Ministry, representatives of the Indian-Turkmen Friendship Society, the India-Central Asia Foundation, Jawaharlal Nehru University, business and media representatives. This was reported by the "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" edition.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Delhi Shalar Geldynazarov briefed the meeting participants on the country's successes achieved over the years of independence in various fields, spoke about international events taking place in Turkmenistan, including the upcoming Summit of heads of ECO member states in Ashgabat on November 28.

The Ambassador paid special attention to bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and India, which have a steady growth dynamics.

The success of Turkmenistan during the years of independence was highly appreciated by the vice-president of the Indian-Turkmen Friendship Society, Sandip Jain, who spoke at the meeting. He emphasized the particularly warm nature of relations between the peoples of the two states.

As part of the event, a video was shown about the country's achievements, an exhibition of books by the President of Turkmenistan and exhibits of products of folk applied art of the Turkmen people.
