The President of Turkmenistan held a working meeting on the development of the agro-industrial complex

During the working meeting held by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in digital format, the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the country was discussed. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahalliyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and the heads of regions.

The central topic of the meeting was ensuring the successful implementation of sowing and harvesting campaigns. As noted, vegetative irrigation of cotton crops, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are currently underway. All available agricultural machinery and units are used for these purposes.

Close attention is paid to the care of wheat crops, including vegetation watering. At the same time, preparations are underway for receiving points, elevators and combine harvesters for the upcoming harvest.

In accordance with the objectives of ensuring the country's food security set by the head of state, the cultivation of potatoes, vegetables and melons continues. In the fields of the velayats, these crops are cared for in accordance with agrotechnical standards, and the harvest is also underway.

Silkworm production was high on the agenda. In the regions of the country, the care of silkworm caterpillars continues; the harvesting of cocoons has already begun in Lebap and Mary velayats.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need for an integrated approach to ensuring high crop yields. The head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to keep strict control over compliance with agrotechnical requirements when caring for cotton and wheat.

The head of state emphasized the importance of timely and high-quality field work, giving specific instructions on preparing for organized wheat harvesting and taking all necessary measures.
