Today, on the occasion of the International Day of the French Language Teacher, the Ambassador of France to Turkmenistan, Mrs. Isabelle Guinel, visited the Turkmen State University named after Mahtumkuli.
Here she met with the leadership, teachers of the French language and students of the TSU, the Institute of World Languages. Azadi and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. It is in these universities that French is currently being taught.
During the meeting, the results of cooperation during the year were summed up. We talked about the participation of teachers in various educational programs organized online by the Embassy and the French Institute in cooperation with the diplomatic missions of France in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Potential future projects in the area of teaching methods were also discussed.
Ms. Isabelle Guinel presented educational literature from the French Institute in Ashgabat to universities. These are various books on grammar, vocabulary, spelling of the French language; books about the culture, literature and history of France, as well as specialized literature that prepares for the DELF / DALF French exams. The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was presented with specialized literature on the French language in diplomacy.
