The Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic, Ms. Isabelle Guisnel, presented copies of her credentials to the Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov.
Congratulating I. Guisnel on her appointment to this responsible position, the head of the Turkmen foreign Ministry wished her success in her new career.
Having discussed issues related to strengthening friendly relations and expanding bilateral cooperation, the parties noted the need to organize contacts at the highest level, both in the format of bilateral visits and in the framework of participation in multilateral platforms. In this context, the possibility of organizing regular contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries within the framework of the cooperation program between the ministries of foreign Affairs for 2019-2021 was considered.
The parties exchanged views on such promising areas of trade and economic cooperation as energy, digitalization, communications, construction, civil aviation, healthcare, agriculture, and the fashion industry.
During the meeting, a proposal was made to establish a Turkmen-French Council for cooperation in the field of culture, education and science, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
