This year, the farms of Turkmenistan ensured high growth rates in the production of tomatoes, potatoes, melons and gourds, fruits and berries in relation to the previous year. This was reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" with reference to the data of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
In particular, over 58,6 thousand tons of tomatoes were grown and sent to the domestic and foreign markets in 10 months. In the spring, for the potato harvest, the farmers sowed about 3,6 thousand hectares, in the autumn season - more than 600 hectares, which will make it possible to collect a total of over 4.2 thousand tons of tubers.
A rich harvest of onions has been grown – 48,5 thousand tons of it have been harvested.
From an area of 1,9 thousand hectares, rural workers harvested over 50 thousand tons of melons.
The plantings of fruit trees and grapes have increased. Gardening farms have harvested more than 70,5 thousand tons of fruits and berries.
Members of the TUIE privatized about 100 livestock farms in Ahal, Lebap and Mary velayats, and poultry complexes previously built in the Balkan and Mary velayats.
At present, more than 180 private livestock farms are engaged in the production of beef, which contain over 38,5 thousand heads. In ten months, livestock breeders produced 3 830 tons of meat.
The number of dairy farms increased to 150, where the number of dairy herds exceeded 13,3 thousand, milk yield amounted to 17 thousand tons. The construction of another 90 cowsheds is underway.
The number of poultry farms has grown to over 90.
For 10 months, poultry farmers sold 6819 tons of chicken meat, of which 6,6 thousand tons were chickens - broilers.

Over fifty egg-producing farms sold 1 846 500 chickens and 265 510 000 eggs to consumers this year.
Agricultural producers are provided with land plots, they have been allocated about 100 thousand hectares, of which 61 837,46 hectares have been developed to date. More than 33 144 hectares of land have been allocated to livestock breeders-members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs for the production of forage crops, of which 24 501 hectares have been developed.
