Celebrations on the occasion of the Harvest Festival were held in Turkmenistan today. This holiday is a symbol of the people's pride for the results of the painstaking work of farmers, for the generous harvests grown on the fertile Turkmen land.
Among the participants in the festive event are members of the Government, heads of the Mejlis, representatives of departments, the capital and velayat hyakimliks, public organizations, the media, scientists, cultural figures, masters of arts, elders, as well as student youth.
In 2021, a rich harvest of “white gold” was grown and harvested in Turkmenistan. Turkmen grain growers also won a remarkable labor victory, having fulfilled the state obligations to collect food grain. Producers of vegetable and fruit products distinguished themselves with high indicators. An exhibition of achievements in various fields of the agro-industrial complex, as well as products of agricultural entrepreneurs, was organized in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in honor of the glorious work of the masters of high yields of Turkmenistan. The expositions of specialized departments and representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs presented products of the cotton-growing, cotton-processing, grain-growing industries, livestock, food and textile industries, elite varieties of seeds, samples of advanced agricultural machinery.
In front of the white yurts installed at the festive event, art masters from various provinces of the country performed literary and musical compositions imbued with the spirit of the national culture and traditions of their region, which further increased the heartfelt atmosphere of the holiday.
It should be noted that in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on November 13, in the capital's “Mekan” Palace, on the eve of the Harvest Festival, was held a ceremony of awarding state awards to tenants, cotton growers, machine operators, agricultural scientists, breeders and other agricultural specialists. made a worthy contribution to the development of the country's agro-industrial complex.
