A severe reprimand "for improper performance of official duties and weakening of prosecutorial supervision over the activities of the oil and gas complex" was announced today by the President of Turkmenistan to Prosecutor General Batyr Atdaev, the “Vatan” news program of Turkmen television reported.
The penalty was announced “with the last warning about the correction of the shortcomings in the shortest possible time,” reads the Order of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
We remind that Batyr Atdaev was appointed Prosecutor General in May 2017. Prior to that, he was in charge of trade in the Government of the country.
