The deadline for submitting documents for free education in Russian universities for bachelor's, specialist's, master's, residency and postgraduate studies for applicants from the CIS has been extended by almost a month - until November 25. This was reported on the website of the Federal Agency “Rossotrudnichestvo”.

Earlier it was reported that the selection will last until November 1. You can apply for a quota online at education-in-russia.com.

In the 2022/2023 academic year, the volume of quota places is 23 thousand. The priority for the agency remains the CIS member states. According to the head of “Rossotrudnichestvo”, Evgeny Primakov, according to the results of the last admission, 30% of 80 thousand applications came from the neighboring countries.

Schoolchildren from the CIS, including Turkmenistan, most often seek to master medical specialties in Russia, the press service of the agency said. The three most demanded areas, according to the interim assessment of the admissions campaign, included general medicine, economics and dentistry.

The exact number of applications for the new academic year is unknown because the admission is still ongoing. However, “Rossotrudnichestvo” can already name the states from which applications for training in Russia come most often.

According to him, Turkmenistan ranks second after Tajikistan in terms of the number of applications. Then comes Kazakhstan, Belarus and Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that 1800 applications from Turkmenistan were submitted to study in Russia under the quota last year. 220 Turkmen citizens got the right to free education in Russia.
