Ashgabat hosts training in commercial diplomacy and trade negotiations

A three-day online training on commercial diplomacy and trade negotiations started in Ashgabat on October 13, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

The event was organized by the International Trade Center as part of the Ready4Trade project in Central Asia.

The training is attended by representatives of the relevant ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of ITC.

The training is designed to discuss the practical aspects of business in the work of diplomats and trade policy makers, including the development of a negotiation strategy.

Also, the training examines the trade activities of our country in accordance with the "Program for the development of foreign economic activity of Turkmenistan for 2020-2025".

During the training, participants will have the opportunity to discuss topics related to the country's accession to the World Trade Organization - the benefits of membership and the process of accession to the WTO.

The Ready4Trade project in Central Asia aims to develop intra-regional and international trade by increasing the transparency of cross-border requirements, removing regulatory and procedural barriers, strengthening the ability of businesses to comply with trade formalities and standards, and improving cross-border e-commerce.
