Berdimuhamedov dismissed the ambassador of Turkmenistan to France

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov dismissed Mr. Shohrat Jumayev from the post of Ambassador of Turkmenistan to France and Portugal, as well as the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the representative of Turkmenistan to the International Exhibitions Bureau. Today, the relevant decrees "due to the transition to another job" were signed by the head of state, the information program "Vatan" of the Turkmen television reported.

In 2008, Shohrat Durdykulyevich Jumayev, who held the post of Consul of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia. He was also awarded the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. Since 2010, he has headed the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania, and since 2013 he also served as ambassador to Croatia. At the end of 2018, Berdimuhamedov appointed Jumayev as Ambassador to France and Portugal, and in May 2019 as Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to UNESCO as well.
