Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the new Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to our country, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Alkhay Hamad Khamis Al-Hameli.
The Ambassador handed copies of credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and assured them that he would make every effort to further expand Turkmen-Emirati relations. In turn, the Foreign Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic activities at this responsible position.
During the negotiations, the parties pointed out the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE on a wide range of issues and discussed the importance of the international exhibition "EXPO-2020", which will be held in Dubai.
Special attention was paid to the discussion of cooperation within the framework of the authoritative regional and international organizations, particularly the UN and others, the press service of the MFA reports.
