As we previously reported, a new passenger ship “Rahat”, built by order of our country at the Zelenodolsk shipyard named after Gorkiy in Tatarstan, has been commissioned.

“Rahat” belongs to the cruise ships of the ultra-modern type, equipped with the latest science and technology, Yakub Mollayagshiyev, the first mate of “Rahat”, told the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”.

At this time, “Rahat” is prepared for regular walking tours. In the future, it can be used in a longer voyage along the Turkmen coast as part of ecological tourism and on the circular passenger line Turkmenbashi -Kyzylsu - Hazar.

The vessel is almost 34 meters long, 6.6 meters wide, 2.5 meters high. The vessel with a displacement of 85 tons develops a speed of up to 40 knots, which is equal to 74 kilometers per hour.

“Rahat” is capable of taking on board more than 16 tons of payload, including ship's stores, passengers and crew. The vessel is designed for 126 passenger seats, equipped with two jet engines with a total capacity of 2880 kW, or about 2150 horsepower.

A shallow draft, just under one meter, provides the vessel with an approach to almost any place on the sea coast and access to the open sea at a distance of up to 100 nautical miles.
