A long-haul Boeing-777-200LR plane of “Turkmenistan” Airlines landed at the Turkmenabat International Airport tonight, bringing Turkmen citizens who were forced to stay in Belarus after the termination of air traffic due to the coronavirus pandemic to their homeland from Minsk.
The charter flight T5784 from the national airport "Minsk" was organized on behalf of the Government of Turkmenistan. More than 200 compatriots have returned to the country.
In accordance with WHO recommendations, all citizens who arrived on a charter flight from Belarus will have to undergo a three-week mandatory quarantine.
Turkmenistan continues to work on organizing the export of its citizens who are abroad.
It should be recalled that about 9 thousand Turkmen students study in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions of Belarus.
